Overflow detection
Catch text that outgrows its container after translation.
Translated text is often longer than the original — German and Finnish can run 30–40% longer than English — which breaks tight buttons and fixed-width labels.
How it works
When enabled, Lingolense measures each text layer before and after translation and flags any layer where the new text is likely to overflow its container (clipping, truncation, or spilling past a fixed frame). Flagged layers are surfaced in the run summary so you can widen the box, shrink the type, or shorten the copy.
On the AI engine, Lingolense also tries to fit the translation to the available space up front, so there's less to fix afterwards.
Plan note
Overflow detection is available on Pro and above. On lower tiers, text is translated without the fit check.
