Usage & limits
How usage is measured and what limits apply to your plan.
Usage is measured in characters (letters, numbers, and similar) that you translate per billing period. Your plan determines your limit; the dashboard shows how much you've used.
How usage is counted
Each time you translate text in the plugin, the number of characters in the source text (the text you're translating from) is added to your usage. This is typically the same as the character count shown in the plugin. Usage is tied to your license key and synced with the server.
Billing periods
- Subscriptions (monthly/yearly): Usage resets at the start of each billing period (e.g. monthly or yearly, depending on your plan).
- Credit packs / one-time: Limits and reset behavior depend on the product; check your plan details in the dashboard.
- Lifetime: May have a one-time or recurring character allowance; see your plan for details.
Where to see your usage
Go to Dashboard → Usage. You'll see your current period, limit, and how many characters you've used. The plugin may also show a usage indicator so you can avoid hitting the limit mid-session.
When you hit the limit
If you reach your character limit for the period, translation requests will fail until the next reset or until you upgrade. Upgrade or purchase more capacity from the Pricing page or your dashboard.
