Activate your license
Enter your license key to unlock the plugin and link your plan.
Lingolense needs a license key to run. Activation ties your plan and character allowance to that install.
Get your key
Sign up at lingolense.theplugins.co — a free key is issued automatically. Find it on your dashboard; it looks like:
Use the copy button next to the key so you don't mistype it.
Activate in the plugin
- Open Lingolense in your editor.
- Paste the key into the License key field.
- Click Activate.
The plugin validates the key against the portal and shows your plan in the header (e.g. Free · 0/500). You're ready to translate.
What activation records
Each install registers as an activation (a "device") against your license. You can see and manage active devices on the portal's Licenses page. Some plans cap the number of simultaneous activations — the free tier allows 1.
Switching devices
If you hit your activation limit, remove an old device from the Licenses page in the portal, then activate the new one.
Troubleshooting activation
- "Invalid license key" — check for typos; keys use only unambiguous characters. Copy it straight from the dashboard.
- "Activation limit reached" — free allows one device; deactivate an old one in the portal or upgrade.
